FAQ
Is my query logged?
No. Queries processed in real time and not stored.
How often should I check?
After DNS changes, wait 24-48h for propagation then verify. Monitor weekly for changes.
How accurate are results?
Queries authoritative sources in real time. Results reflect current network state.
Why differ from other tools?
Different tools query different servers or use different methods. We show raw responses.
How accurate is this speed test?
Our speed test measures your actual connection speed to our servers. Results may vary based on server distance, network congestion, and your ISP. For best accuracy, close other tabs and apps during the test.
What is a good internet speed?
For basic browsing: 5-10 Mbps. For HD streaming: 25 Mbps. For 4K streaming: 50+ Mbps. For gaming: 50+ Mbps with low ping. For remote work: 25-50 Mbps.
Why is my speed test result different from my plan?
Several factors affect speed: Wi-Fi vs ethernet, distance from router, network congestion, ISP throttling, and the number of connected devices. Always test with ethernet for the most accurate result.
What is ping/latency?
Ping measures the round-trip time for data to travel from your device to the server and back. Lower ping means faster response times. Under 20ms is excellent, 20-50ms is good, 50-100ms is average.
How often should I test my speed?
Test weekly to monitor consistency. Test immediately if you notice slow speeds. Test at different times of day to identify peak congestion periods.

Understanding Your Results
Download Speed
How fast you receive data. Affects streaming, browsing, and file downloads.
Upload Speed
How fast you send data. Affects video calls, file uploads, and live streaming.
Ping (Latency)
Response time in milliseconds. Critical for gaming and real-time applications.
Jitter
Variation in ping. High jitter causes choppy video calls and laggy gaming.
Tips to Improve Your Speed
- Use ethernet instead of Wi-Fi for stable connections
- Restart your router monthly to clear memory
- Update router firmware for security and performance
- Position router centrally, away from walls and electronics
- Use 5GHz Wi-Fi band for faster speeds (shorter range)
- Limit background downloads and streaming on other devices
- Contact your ISP if speeds are consistently below your plan
